Angela Disanto,LCSW

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can change the ending.”  C.S. Lewis

Angela grew up in a small town in Central Pennsylvania and moved to Florida after graduating with a Master of Social Work from Temple University.  In 2013 she returned to Pennsylvania to be close to family and friends while personally facing a series of physical health challenges. These experiences led Angela to pursue a clinical license in Social Work. Over the last 18 years she has worked in various mental health settings to help people with a wide range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, transitional adjustments, and relationship challenges. Angela began her career working with children and families in school and community settings, and then transitioned to working in an acute care hospital setting where she assisted individuals to manage various mental health conditions and psychosocial stressors more effectively. In addition, she has worked with the elder population providing in home services, and more recently conducting mental health assessments and chart reviews with insurance companies.

Angela values a holistic treatment approach based in understanding that behavioral and physical health work in unison to support well-being. She views the counseling process as a collaborative effort with emphasis on exploring and identifying barriers that prevent one from living a satisfying life. She recognizes that vulnerability, combined with utilization of cognitive behavioral principles, mindfulness, and strength-based interventions help individuals achieve their goals and experience increased fulfillment.

In her free time Angela enjoys outdoor activities, animals, spending time with loved ones, working out, creating healthy recipes and interior design.
